The plaque on the wall of the church says that it is shared in fellowship by the Roman Catholic, Anglican, Methodist and United Reformed Churches. This is the website of the “Anglican, Methodist and Free Church community” and those two words “fellowship” and “community” are important elements of St Augustine’s.
You will see links in the menu to information about Evergreens which is an opportunity once a month for retired people to get together. The Parent and Toddler Group caters each week for pre-school children and their parents/carers. Sunday School meets each week to provide a mix of teaching and fun for the younger members of our church family.
In addition, St Augustine’s Church is used by various community groups during the week. These can include Beavers, Bridge, Rosemary Conley, Tai Chi group.
Once a month St Augustine’s hosts the meeting of the Progressive Christian Network. This is a group of people from the Chelmsford who want to explore together what Christianity and faith have to offer to the world in the 21st century.
