Worship is at the heart of St Augustine’s. Wherever we are on our personal journey, Sunday worship is an opportunity to set time aside for God, to worship him, to pray to him, to hear his word in scripture and in preaching and to do so with other members of our church family.
Our services vary from Sunday to Sunday, and this is shown below. We use Anglican and Methodist forms of worship and we also like to use other worship resources including Celtic liturgies. We do not have a regular Sunday evening service, but we are reviewing our services and we have begun visiting other churches and faith groups to experience their worship and to learn from their insights and relationship with God. As this develops we will add details to this website.
As a general guide our services are as follows:
First Sunday of the month – All Age Worship
Second Sunday – Holy Communion
Third Sunday – Morning Worship
Fourth Sunday – Holy Communion
Fifth Sunday – Holy Communion
The service on the third Sunday is followed at 11:45am by a short Communion service.
