Some of you may be aware that throughout Lent we at St Augustine’s’ have been doing a ‘walk for water’.
We worked out how far it was to walk to Jerusalem, then lots of people then started counting the miles they walked every week to see if collectively we could reach Jerusalem by Easter. The idea was it got us all out and at the same time we raised money for the ”Water Aid’ charity. For those of you who are interested, Imogen Tew in year 6 at The Bishops School and Jenny Murphy, a church council member, made their radio debut on Saturday with an interview on BBC Essex to talk all about it. If anyone would like to listen it is being broadcast on Palm Sunday at 7.15 am (103.5 and 95.3 FM, 729, 765 amd 1530 MW). If you are not an early riser but would still like to listen it will also be on the BBC sounds app. If you may not want to listen but are still happy to support our walk, all the details of how to donate are on this website.
