Having your Banns read at St Augustine of Canterbury Church

If you are getting married in a different parish , you will need your Banns to be read at your local church. Banns have to be read on 3 consecutive Sundays no more than 3 months before your wedding day. You will then need to collect a Banns certificate to prove that your Banns have been read. The current fee for this is £46

You will then need to meet with the churchwarden to complete the paperwork when you will need to provide evidence of ID and residence. Couples are encouraged to come to our 10:45am service on Sunday s to hear their banns being read especially the last Sunday as the certificate to prove that the banns have been read will be available after the service.
