October 16th –
Halloween – Ghosts, death and the Devil. Is it dangerous or just a bit of fun? What does the Bible say about hell and the Devil?
November 13th –
Remembering and honouring the dead. Is death the end? Will we “meet again”? What do we think about public outpouring of grief when celebrities die?
December 11th –
Christmas. Compare the accounts of the four gospels. What really happened? Was Jesus born in Bethlehem? Was He born of a virgin?
January 17th –
2025 New beginnings New year resolutions for our church.
What do we know about the start of Jesus’s life – the presentation at the Temple, the visit of the Magi, anything else?
February 12th –
Do you observe Valentine’s day? Hear the story of Valentine.
Which saints days are important to you and why?
Biblical references to saints.
March 12th –
New life at springtime. Is climate change spoiling it all? Genesis story – humans made to be stewards. How active should we be in caring for the planet? What do we do that is good or bad? Group makes suggestions for changing habits.
